Upstate Update - PRESS RELEASE
DATE: 03 March 2008 – For immediate release
SUBJ: Shane MartinMeet-and-Greet
Shane Martin continues to draw large crowds. Despite the great outdoor weather this weekend, more than 200 people packed the indoor event for Shane Martin in Pauline.
“Invitations only went out to three precincts, so I’m pleasantly surprised,” stated Martin. Shane Martin continued to express how grateful he is for all the support. Last week he received more than 250 requests from people who want his sign in their front yard. More than 100 signs were also taken at the event.
The Pauline Café, across the street from the event, shut down and sent additional help over to handle the crowd.
As successful as the event was, Shane Martin didn’t slow down. He later greeted more than 100 people as they entered a Wild Game dinner at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church , left from there and attended a Friends of the NRA Banquet in Woodruff. Along the way he was taking down names and addresses of people wanting yard signs.
It was dark, getting late, and the night seemed to be over, but not for Shane Martin . He pulled out his GPS unit and began plugging in the addresses he had collected during the day and started delivering signs.
